Trig is a company that was established in 2014, essentially as a simple venture to design furniture pieces, mainly sourced from local materials – particularly timber.  Experimental designs were designed, prototyped and tested to analyse manufacturability, ease of assembly and flat-packability.  Proven designs progressed under short-run manufacturing and distribution cycles and were marketed underneath the new brand identity - “Trig.”  The brand ethos was developed to complement the natural materials & finishes along with the geometric product aesthetic.

Organising Ideology:

A “trig point” is a reference point within a network of triangulation.  Positions of all landmarks can be accurately located by the network; a task which was important to the construction of all modern infrastructure.
