Race Ranger - ANTI-DRAFTING SYSTEM

Race Ranger is a real-time drafting detection system designed for triathlon and cycling races. It uses sensors and on-bike lights to clearly indicate when athletes are within the legal drafting distance, helping competitors stay compliant without relying solely on referees. For race organisers, it improves fairness, reduces officiating complexity, and enhances the overall transparency and integrity of the event.

Procreate was bought onboard to work with Race Ranger to develop the 3rd iteration of the draft sensor unit. The housing provided several unique challenges ass it needed to retain a low profile while being highly waterproof and allowing full functionality of the enclosed electronics. Extensive waterproofing and stability testing was undertaken in house to deliver a reliable design. The Procreate team is proud to have delivered prototype units for many tight deadlines with batches being tested for key race days.
